Ideal audience type

From the research into our pop, female artist genre I have found a certain audience type.
We have found that the audience other female stars attract are heavily made up of females though there are also males who are included in the fanbase. A lot of the girls are teenagers/ early twenties. Males are usually late teens/ early twenties, often homosexual.
This fanbase would often be expected to follow an artist through twitter, facebook etc. Which is the reason why many artists promote their work through these social networking sights.
Many of these fans are likely to buy tickets to see the artist on tour, or at a festival/ show such as T4 at the beach, Reading, V festival etc Beyonce Headlines Glastonbury in 2011, Nicki minaj at T4 at the beach in 2012.

This ideal audience would be one that listened to radio stations such as Kiss, Capital FM and  Radio 1 and would watch music channels and TV shows where the artist is a guest or the performer e.g. Rihanna on the Graham Norton show
