Focused and Ambient Audiences

David Buckingham explains that some audiences are not as deliberate or active in their consumption or media. He believes that it is essential to build young peoples media use with the combination of their social activities and experiences due to the fact that many young people are using media as a pass time or to fill up spare time. He says their attitude towards media is not committed/ not a priority and is meaningless as they are not naturally drawn to artists/ characters and their personal life/ fictional life.

I believe that our artist also attracts an ambient audience as well as an active audience as they would be able to have the video playing on YouTube or the television without giving it their full attention. Though because the concept of our video and the emotions displayed are easy to relate to/ understand the viewer (though not giving their full attention) is able to get the general idea of the video.
Though the information and sources are still there for an active audience who are interested in other aspects of the artists career/ life.
