We studied the 'California King Bed' video by Rihanna, we got a few ideas from this music video for our costume, camera movement and setting. She wears a white dress obviously to show innocence and elegance so we used a similar white dress on our popstar. The setting is on a bed so that Rihanna can be filmed in different kinds of positions on it, we used the same idea but using a sofa. The camera movements show handheld shots and panning shots which we wanted to try and also do so that the shots weren't static and were made to be more interesting.
The make up Rihanna wears is natural and simple (image above). We found that alot of other pop stars which fall into the same genre of music have a similar make up style in their videos for example Beyonce on the beach scenes in this muic video ...
