Artists such as the maccabees, Bombay Bcyicle Club and Ed Sheeran show that they are very individual as their videos are different to the norm within the industry e.g chart music. Mthe time they are quite basic though they have unique ideas/ themes which is clear to see that more time and effort goes into the production e.g. Bombay Bcyicle club- How do you swallow so much sleep? Used stop frame animation with clay figures, to my knowledge this had never been done before. Ive noticed that the video make you consentrate more on the music/ message of the musicrather than the artist as an individual, usually meaning they dont usually have a large 'star persona'.
Indie music usually breaks the conventions of a typical music video.
