Cheryl - Under the sun

- Close ups of clock, table etc
- Slow motion - add effect on the setting and on her
- Set in a street - real life
- Shots from behind - sexually
- Voyeurism - subject unaware at beginning
- Genre characteristics - dance routine
- Time lapse - day to night
- Reference to 50's - like Grease, Back to the future
- References to the notion of looking - treatment of the female body e.g. turning on the juke box, costume encourages voyeurism and focus on movement of the camera, reflecting on how we should be looking at her, in a male point of view
- Aspirational target audience - females told what they should look like and how males should look at you
- Facial expressions - looking into the camera seductively, breaks the 4th wall - two way interaction, invites spectator to objectify her
- Empowered position - everyone's attention, physical power - moving others
- Positioned as a sexual object - power or not? But can manipulate others with her looks
