I sent 5 girls between the ages of 16 and 19 five questions after they had listened to the track 'Your Love'. Ive done this to see what our target audience thought of the song, who would listen to it and their views on what the video wouold be like.

 

The 5 questions I asked:

 

1. Did you like the track?
2. What sort of person would like this track?
3. Which age range would you typically associate with this song?
4. How would you picture the artist? (Imagine its not Rihannas song)
5. What sort of music video would you expect to accompany this track?

 

Responses:

1- They all said they liked the song and would possibly listen/ buy it.

2- They all said femails would mostly like the track or people in to pop music

3- All thought differently on the age range varying from 11-18 to 15-27

4- A few were not sure but others thought agirl band or girl in their early 20s

5- All their video ideas were very different though they all thought that a male should be included. One thought that it should be based on dance starting with ballet then turning to street and another thought the artist should act out the lyrics while we also show shots of her boyfriend.
